About Us

A Worthy Cause

Social Orthodontic is a social concept based on the utilisation of the Orthodontic practice and the Orthodontic treatment pathway as a mechanism to engage its patients and help develop their social capital and human capital. To this end, it helps patients to climb the social ladder and bettering their lives. This includes helping patients develop their knowledge, social and human capital. The engagement also helps patients live healthier lives through knowledge sharing and community-based workshops in the form of master classes, internships, and mentorships from the professional and corporate world without any barriers. By creating opportunities, raising aspirations, and developing new skills Social Orthodontics helps to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and networks to break through social barriers like the glass ceiling one fragment at a time.

It was under the special guidance and mentorship of Professor Werner Menski and Dr. Sham Qayyum, Anis realised his true potential and vision and as a result ‘Social Orthodontics' & 'Social Dentistry', a new ground-breaking social concept within the Dental Industry came into fruition. Over the years Anis has become a networking professional and an accomplished Community Development Consultant for many organizations. Anis is a fierce advocate for social mobility and is the driving force behind the impact of the ‘Think it Possible’ initiative which he himself created. Anis’s hard work has been recognised within the dental industry, and in 2018 he was awarded ‘Most Invaluable Team Member’ at the most prestigious dental awards ceremony in the UK, 'FMC - Private Dentistry Awards'.
